Every year, on September 19, thousands of devotees crowd into the “Duomo di Napoli” (Naples Cathedral), to witness the miracle of the liquefaction of the blood of their protector and patron saint, San Gennaro.

  1. Nice lesson, Jane and Massimo. My mother is from Naples and last year I took her to see her family in Italy. We happened to be in Naples on San Gennaro day… to truly understand Italian culture, i believe everyone should witness the San Gennaro celebration in Naples… by far the best memory of my Italian trip.
