11. The Pizza Olympic Games (Culture Shot)

LearnItalianPod Learn Italian with our eleventh Culture Shot, inspired by an email that we received about a week ago from Laura. She lives in New Zealand and a while ago she met a cool Italian pizza maker. His dream? To participate to the Pizza Olympic Games! “I thought he was kidding”, says Laura, “but he told me it’s for real! Are there such things as Pizza Olympic Games?” — There are, dear Laura, there are… and we’re telling you all about it. Enjoy!

  1. Thank you for the episode. I always had issues with Italian prepositions of time, but this lesson clarify everything.

Your examples “quest’anno”, “lo scorso anno”, “l’anno prossimo”, and so on are really useful.

    Thanks Jane & Massimo!

  2. I’m a little confused about the use of partire in this lesson …( partira`) can you explain it for me please.
