September 21st, 2008
Learn Italian Online with LearnItalianPod! Here’s episode number 10 of the new, fun, and exciting way to learn “Advanced Level Italian”. Based on famous Italian movies and almost entirely spoken in Italian, this series will help you in becoming fluent in Italian while discovering what Italian culture is all about! This time we’ll talk about “I Vitelloni” (in English “The Young and the Passionate”), a beautiful film directed by the great Federico Fellini that tells the story of five “thirty-something” friends lead into a variety of meaningless activities by their discontentment and restlessness. Enjoy!

Thanks for the excellent explanation of the verb “piacere’. BTW, which one is more common in spoken Italian: “gli piace” (plural) and “a loro piace”?
