I grew up bilingual in America, speaking English and Italian, and lived in Italy for 2 years as a youth (my favorite autumn memory is of barrels of chestnuts roasting in the open markets). My mother was from Firenze. I have not had anyone to practice my Italian with for almost 20 years, and so have forgotten most of it, but understand far more than I can speak now. I have determined to renew my knowledge of this language which is close to my heart. This program is ideal for me, as I become bored with language curricula which focus on vocabulary and grammar outside of the context of everyday conversation. Thank you for making your program available online; it is just what I needed.
