23. How To Rent An Apartment (HTI)
Level: How To Italian
Our great friend and longtime subscriber Carla from San Francisco wrote us a terrific email. She says “I’m going to move to Italy for six month to attend a class at the Universita’ per Stranieri in Perugia. Beside the fact that I’m super excited, I’m going to need to rent an apartment while there – so I was thinking… let me ask Jane and Massimo if they can do an episode about “renting an apartment in Italy”… – “You ask, we listen, Carla!” – So today, let’s find out how to rent an apartment in Italy, in case you’re planning on staying for more than a few weeks. Enjoy!

Anna Maria Says:
July 1st, 2008 at 8:46 pmI grew up bilingual in America, speaking English and Italian, and lived in Italy for 2 years as a youth (my favorite autumn memory is of barrels of chestnuts roasting in the open markets). My mother was from Firenze. I have not had anyone to practice my Italian with for almost 20 years, and so have forgotten most of it, but understand far more than I can speak now. I have determined to renew my knowledge of this language which is close to my heart. This program is ideal for me, as I become bored with language curricula which focus on vocabulary and grammar outside of the context of everyday conversation. Thank you for making your program available online; it is just what I needed.
