21. How To Go Crazy For Pizza (HTI)
April 27th, 2008
Learn Italian with LearnItalianPod.com! Jane happened to read a very cool article a few days ago entitled “Learn Italian While Eating Pizza”. Everyone knows that pizza was invented in Italy and is certainly one of the most popular food all over the world. What was interesting about the article, though, was a tongue-twister that featured the word “pizza” and similar terms. - What a terrific way to learn Italian and have fun… while eating a pizza! Enjoy!

May 4th, 2008 at 10:03 amLoved the tongue twister… took me a week of practice to get it right, but now I can say it, almost at the same speed Jane says it. What I’ve noticed is that it really helped improve my overall pronunciation. Great episode

May 15th, 2008 at 5:03 amI noticed that when Massimo pronounces “pizza,” “pazza,” “pozzo,” etc. I do not hear the “t” sound as in when an English speaker would say “pizza” (”peetza”); rather the double z’s sound more like they do in “pizzazz.” However, when Jane says these same words I do hear that “tz” sound. Are both pronunciations equally correct?
