We are going to show a classic Italian four course meal - take it as recommendation from your favorite chefs, Jane and Massimo! Thanks for this great episode - now I feel ready to go to Italy and enjoy some great meals!

Question: what about tipping? Should I tip the waiter? I heard service is included with the check.

Angela, both “il servizio” (service charge) and “il coperto” (cover charge) are usually included in “il conto” (check).

Gratuity is included in the bill, and extra tipping is not necessary. However, if the service is very good and you are satisfied, leave your waiter a little extra — you’ll make him or her very happy!
