14. What A Hectic Day! (Intermediate)
April 26th, 2006

In today’s episode, we are going to hear a story about a very hectic day - one of those days with so many things to do in so little time… We’ll learn and practice some verbs that express action, like for instance “prendere” (to take), “portare” (to bring), and “accompagnare” (to accompany).

July 9th, 2006 at 6:47 pmHey,
I have a question…let’s say I’m talking to someone and I have to leave somewhere..
How do I say…”I’m sorry, but I have to go”?

March 15th, 2007 at 8:24 amI really struggled keeping up with you Massimo on this one. I had to keep pushing pause in order to have time to repeat the sentences. I want to get all the articles and prepositions correct along with, of course, the new verbs. This one was a bit too fast for me. But than again maybe that’s just because I’m not a “real student.”

March 17th, 2007 at 7:34 pmDan, just let it sink into your routine bit by bit - remember that prepositions can be confusing in Italian - there are a lot of different usages and exceptions.
Maybe you can try some different lessons for a few days and then come back to this one and see if you feel more confortable.

August 6th, 2007 at 4:51 amHi
like Dan I struggled a bit here. As you say the prepositions are confusing. I think the advice to just go over different lessons is right - with practice your brain just suddenly jumps into gear and gets it! The problem is that sometimes you get a bit disheartened at the time it takes!! Anyway, I have still learned more with LearnItalianPod than with any other method. So thanks
